sweat, trainers and lip gloss

Being a visually oriented kinda girl, I thought I'd knock up a chart to see the pattern of my walking habits. This is what April looks like, charted from when I started keeping records, somewhere around the middle of the month. Somewhat chaotic, it seems. But I'm quite pleased that there are are at least as many peaks as dips.

It's not a bad record, but not great either. I just can't see where I'll find more time to improve my ratio of long-to-short walks, though, so future graphs are likely to be just as jagged as April's.

One thing I hope to improve, however, is the state of my feet. I've always had good feet. Strong, not ugly, more or less trouble-free. Each summer out would go the shoes & socks and in would come the sandals and flip flops for a few months. It would take a week or two to develop the appropriate callouses and then I'd have no problems the rest of the summer. True, my feet would be somewhat horned in places, but pretty much indestructible. So what do I do about these blasted blisters? I can't seem to get rid of them. I'm hoping the additional good socks acquired today on my shopping trip will do the trick.

Yes, of course I went on my shopping trip. I took the afternoon off work (thanks Mr J for filling in) and met up with my lovely and very good friend Ms X who I haven't seen for a rather long time. We had a terrific afternoon shopping in the sunshine. I spent a little money on socks and a load of money on makeup. Well, what can I say? It ain't all about sweat and trainers.

Distance - 2.5 miles
Time - 45 mins
Dog(s) - all
Weather - mainly clear
Could I do another 5? - no
